“We make biscuits for the connoisseurs in all of us,” says Margot proudly. “Without artificial flavours, colourings or preservatives. With ten years of experience in the FMCG sector, Margot knows all too well how important accurate product information is. “The retail sector demands more and more detail and precision in the data we provide. It’s a matter of efficiency, but also of trust.”

Destrooper Biscuits has been using the data pools of GS1 Belgilux since 2013,  initially through the Central Data Bank (CDB) and later through its successor, My Product Manager. Still, managing a large number of items remained a challenge. “With 78 active consumer units, it became impossible to enter everything manually and accurately,” Margot explains. “The data model changes from time to time, and we recently carried out a complete rebranding. That’s why we decided to have our entire article range captured via My Data Capture.”

The decision made sense: it guarantees consistent and high-quality data, without the team having to manually enter everything. “It’s a fast and efficient way to correctly and completely register our products in My Product Manager.

The implementation went remarkably smoothly. “We worked batch by batch, in close consultation with the GS1 experts. Artworks were uploaded, processed, and checked. Thanks to this structured approach, everything ran very efficiently.”
