The following information must be registered by the issuer of the coupon in My Coupon Manager:
- Global Coupon Number;
- type of coupon ;
- S1: Coupon for a discount on the purchase of one or more products;
- S4: Coupon for 1 free item;
- the start and end dates of the coupon validity period;
- the stores or points of sale where the coupon is valid;
- the value of the discount or free product;
- the quantity of products to be purchased and the GTIN(s) associated with the coupon;
- the VAT rate applicable to the sale of the concerned items.
Additional, non-mandatory information can also be encoded to enable promotional campaigns to be tracked (brand, cost centre, estimated budget for the promotion, number of coupons in circulation, etc.).
Note:
Contrary to the GTIN, the GCN cannot be defined manually. It must be generated automatically via the platform used by the coupon issuer.
